A Story In Song
I just got off the phone with my dad...he agreed to bail me out of a tight spot... and I just have to say, my dad rocks!! I don't hardly ever ask him for anything...I'm fiercely independent and while my dad will take care of me if things get tough, I don't ask him to. The last time I borrowed anything from him was about four years ago when I was living in San Diego and I needed rent covered until my checks cleared...well the bank screwed up my automatic payments and paid my credit card early which didn't leave money for my student loan...I'd love to say i have a savings account...but let's be honest...I'm just trying to stay afloat these days...
So anyway, I had to ask my dad for a little money just until payday...and believe me, he will be the first one paid when my paycheck goes through! He was really gracious and understanding and he tried to make me feel better...he knows how much I hate having to ask for anything, it makes me feel like I'm not actually a grown-up...anyway, feeling like a little kid made me think about being a little kid...and one of my fondest memories of my dad was when he would sing to me...and we used to turn up the Moody Blues really loudly and sing it out...my first concert was with my dad and uncle when I was four...we went to see the Moody Blues...so here are today's songs...they happen to be my favorites by the Moody Blues and actually go together...so here they are:
